Looking after your data is important to us.

The Lilias Graham Trust maintains information about the children and families it serves and that of donors, supporters, volunteers and staff. It is gathered to enable the proper and efficient functioning of the Trust.

We acknowledge that this information may be of a sensitive and private nature and we will only record, manage and keep it for legitimate specified purposes in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We take our information management responsibilities very seriously and we ensure all information is securely stored and protected from unauthorised use. Data will be destroyed when no longer needed for the legitimate purpose.

We maintain a strict IT and Information Security Policy which includes all aspect of Data Protection from data and network security to physical security of equipment, as well as documents and reports. It covers inappropriate use of data and protection measures against unauthorised access or interference. The policy is applicable to all places where the Trust works including outreach work in the community.

We are open and transparent about the way we hold and use information and acknowledge an individual’s right to know what data is being recorded, and for what purpose. Anyone whose data is recorded and used by the Trust has the right to access a copy of the data, and there are special provisions for Social Work data which may be of relevance in cases relating to the Trust. To obtain data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) a request should be made in writing to the Trust.
